• Oak Creek Health Department Launches "Keep it Moving Challenge" to Boost Community Fitness (hoodline.com) — Oak Creek residents are being invited to join a new citywide Keep It Moving Challenge run by the Oak Creek Health Department to boost daily physical activity. By downloading the APHA app, joining the “Oak Creek in Motion” team, and syncing a phone or wearable, participants can track movement, stay motivated with neighbors, and qualify for future prizes. 
• A photographic history of Milwaukee-area court-ordered desegregation since the 1960s (jsonline.com) — Milwaukee’s long history of court-ordered school desegregation is traced through archival photos, including a powerful 1977 image from Oak Creek’s Meadowview School, where Eric Jones was the only Black child bused in. The piece follows decades of busing, protests, and policy shifts across Milwaukee-area districts, showing how integration efforts affected students and families in both city and suburbs.
