• Meet Local Author Christopher Roubique at Oak Creek Library Event for Debut of Children's Book 'Mythspeaker' (hoodline.com) — Oak Creek families can meet local author Christopher Roubique at a free Mythspeaker book event at Oak Creek Public Library on Thursday, February 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The evening features a reading, discussion on diversity in storytelling, and book signing, and conveniently follows a no-school day for Oak Creek-Franklin students the next morning.
   

• Suspect killed in Milwaukee, officers' actions justified: DA (fox6now.com) — Oak Creek residents should know their police department led the investigation into a July shooting where Milwaukee County’s district attorney ruled officers were justified in killing an armed suspect. The case involved a fatal Shorewood shooting, a wounded officer, and a Milwaukee chase that ended when multiple officers returned fire, with no officers hurt in the final confrontation.
   

• Elisa Poulsen, 77, of Racine (racinecountyeye.com) — Oak Creek is gently connected to this Racine family’s loss through the care Elisa Poulsen received at The Medical Suites at Oak Creek and Legacy Hospice. The 77-year-old lifelong Racine-area resident, devoted Catholic, and beloved “Mimi” to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be honored at a Mass of Christian Burial in Racine on Friday, January 16, with memorials suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association – Wisconsin Chapter.
