Pedestrian Dies In S. 27th Street Accident: Report
Police in Oak Creek say they responded to a fatal traffic accident on Sept. 17 on S. 27th Street.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they responded to a fatal traffic accident on Sept. 17 on S. 27th Street.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 911 caller on the 6400 block of S. 27th Street called police at just after 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 on a report of a car that struck a pedestrian.
Police said the 911 caller saw a vehicle traveling north on S. 27th Street. A pedestrian then ran across the road from east-to-west. The witness told police the car slowed down to try to avoid striking the pedestrian, and also tried swerving to the left to avoid a potential collision.

Ultimately, police noted, the driver was unable to avoid a collision with the pedestrian, who was struck and was found laying in the road by the time first responders arrived.
Police said the person who was struck was breathing, but unconscious at the time first responders arrived. He was transported to Froedtert hospital for treatment.
