Updated: Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Mobil Station

Man took out a gun and demanded money from clerk.

Oak Creek police say a man with a gun robbed the Highway 32 Mobil gas station Saturday night.

According to a police report, the man walked into the station, 9444 S. Chicago Road, at 10:42 p.m. and said he wanted to buy a lottery ticket.

As the clerk rang up the purchase, the man pointed a black handgun at her and told her to give him money, according to the report. He took all the cash in the register and fled on foot southbound.

In a press release Monday, police described the suspect as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s, medium build and wearing a black jacket, jeans with a design on the back and a gray knitted cap with white lines and tassels hanging down the sides.

Officers and a police canine searched the area but could not locate him.
