Shepard Hills Closed Due To Water Main Break

OAK CREEK, WI — Shepard Hills Elementary School students and staff got an unexpected day off this week due to a water main break.

Officials with the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District said late Tuesday that the school would be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 16 after a water main break was reported earlier Tuesday.

All after school and evening activities for Shepard Hills are also canceled for Oct. 16, district officials said. All other Oak Creek-Franklin schools are open and will operate as usual.

"We apologize for the inconvenience; please know we're working as hard as we can to have this issue repaired," the district said in a statement.
