The employee got confused as the man continued to ask her to make change. It was a process that took about six minutes between two cash registers.

By the time the man left the store, the employee thought something might have gone wrong and informed another worker about what happened.

The store reported one drawer was about $700 short and the other was about $70 short, though there was no way of knowing exactly how much money was stolen.

Police called the man a "short-change artist" - a person who tries to confuse someone into giving more money than that person is owed. Click the YouTube video above to see how a typical "short change" works.
