Vehicle Break-In Reported At Midwest Twisters: Report

Police say a customer went inside for about five minutes before returning with her daughter, only to find someone went into her car.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a woman was the victim of a vehicle break-in after she went into a dance studio for about five minutes to pick up her daughter after practice.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 45-year-old Waterford woman took her daughter to dance practice at Midwest Twisters, 600 E. Rawson Ave. at just after 6 p.m. on Sept. 30.

According to call logs, the woman placed her purse and an iPad Mini under the driver's seat and locked door. When she returned at just after 7 p.m. she got a cigarette and smoked it outside in front of the building. After the smoke, she went inside to get her daughter.

Police say the woman was inside for about five minutes before returning with her daughter. As they drove toward their next destination, the woman noticed that her iPad was missing from under the seat. The woman told police that the iPad was disabled and was unable to be tracked by GPS.

Police said the iPad was valued at about $300.
