Wisconsin 7-Year-Old Caught Vaping, Taken To Hospital: Report
When police talked with the child, he told police that he got the vaping device from his mother's purse.
FRANKLIN, WI — Authorities in Franklin say a seven-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was caught vaping CBD in his grade-school classroom.
According to a JSOnline report, a Country Dale Elementary School second grader was caught with a “Smok Novo” vaping device at about 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 8.
According to police accounts, the child was taken to Children’s Hospital to get checked out. When police talked with the child, he told police that he got the vaping device from his mother's purse.

Police said the child was ultimately returned to his mother.

"The safety and integrity of students and families is paramount," District Administrator Dr. Judy Mueller said in a statement published on WISN-TV. "As a school community, we have concern about the national vaping epidemic, especially when we see the impact on our Franklin students and families. We are continuously working to stay on top of the latest findings and expert recommendations."
