Woman Hid Stolen Aldi Steaks In Pants: Report

A woman accused of stealing steaks from Aldi threw them into yards as she fled, according to police call logs.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a 55-year-old Milwaukee woman accused of stealing steaks from Aldi was arrested - but not before she fled, discarding the steaks in the front yards of homes in an Oak Creek subdivision as she fled.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an employee at Aldi, 6810 S. 27th Street, saw that a woman was stuffing steaks down her pants with the intention of stealing them from the store.

Police said the witness gave authorities a description of the woman, and began following her. According to police, the employee followed her out of the store.

Call logs indicated that the suspect realized she was being followed, and began tossing the steaks into front yards in the Cedar Hill subdivision.

Police said that the employee identified the woman based on previous retail thefts. She was arrested, and has been ordered in to court in early October.
