Officials are directly contacting potentially affected students and families and coordinating with law enforcement while offering support resources. No name was released by the district, but county jail records list related charges. 
• Local communities receive assistance through Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (peshtigotimes.com) — Oconto Falls is slated to receive an estimated $324,314 low-interest loan to replace aging watermains on Colombia Street through Wisconsin’s Safe Drinking Water Loan Program. The funding is part of a larger statewide package aimed at improving drinking water infrastructure, especially in smaller communities. Nearby Suring and Pound will also see significant water system upgrades.
