34% of Patch Readers Don't Care Who Wins Super Bowl — Do You?

By now, most Wisconsinites have finally come to terms with the fact that Sundays are no longer set aside for Green and Gold football games (until next season.)

But fans will have one more chance to catch some of their favorite players in action this Sunday during the NFL's Pro Bowl game, including Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Fullback John Kuhn, Wide Receiver Gregg Jennings, Center Scott Wells, Lineman B.J. Raji, Linebacker Clay Matthews and Cornerback Charles Woodson. (See entire Pro Bowl roster here.)

Packers players were not a part of the Pro Bowl last year in anticipation of the Super Bowl — a situation that offers some confused reactions from players involved.

"I was actually really good ... Thursday, Friday, Saturday — starting to kind of settle in to the off-season," Rodgers told NFL reporters in Hawaii earlier this week. "I arrived here on Tuesday and as beautiful as this is ... it started to sink in — man, I was wish I was in Green Bay right now, prepping for the Super Bowl. ... It was a disappointing season for us ... as good as it was in the regular season, to lose the playoffs like we did — it was pretty frustrating."

"Frustrating." That probably hit the nail on the head for a lot of Packers fans out there.

A with a total of 187 votes showed that 24 percent of readers have better plans for Super Bowl Sunday other than watching the game. Another 34 percent of readers said they plan to watch — but absolutely don't care who wins. (Editor's note: This is not a scientific poll. Results are as of 3:40 p.m. Friday.)

Eleven percent of readers will watching vying for the Patriots, while 18 percent said they hope the Giants (who, if you don't remember, happens to be the team the Packers lost to in the playoffs) will win.

We all hope that's because some Packers fans have grudges for other reasons.

"Not a fan of either team, but I will always root against the Patriots!" said Rick Peszko, a Patch Facebook Fan.
