Curbside leaf sweeping runs from Oct. 3 to Nov. 30 in Saukville, according to the village's newsletter. There is no scheduled or guaranteed pick-up days. Collections is done as time/weather permits.Â
More tips from the newsletter:
- Do NOT mix twigs/branches/pumpkins with leaves (we cannot pick them up with the leaf vacuum equipment)
- Do not park vehicles on or near leaf piles. Our truck will not be able to reach them and they will not be collected. Vehicle exhaust can also start the leaves on fire!Â
- Do not rake leaves into large/high piles. Long strips along the curb-line are easiest for the Vac-all truck to collect.
- Do not place leaves on or near storm sewers where they will clog the inlets and pipes.
- Residents are encouraged to bring all leaves and organic material to the DPW Compost Disposal Site, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., by November 12th (final day of Compost Site opening).
