Order Flowers to Benefit American Cancer Society, Cancer Patients

Ozaukee County residents have until Feb. 20 to place their orders for daffodils β€” a purchase that will go to help the cause of curing cancer.

"With Daffodil Days, the hope goes beyond the symbol of the flowers β€” you know that withΒ every bouquet you order, you’re making an actual difference in the lives of real people fighting cancer,"Β Gina Vrtochnick of the American Cancer Society, said in a press release. "The Gift of Hope is so special for thatΒ reason. Compassionate individuals and companies are not only cheering on these courageous cancerΒ patients; they’re saying that their community is behind them, that we’re funding research that is finding more cures every day."

Ordering daffodils for friends, customers and employees can brighten their days, desks or dinnerΒ tables. Proceeds help the American Cancer Society to offer free programs and services that save livesΒ by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early, helping people get well by beingΒ there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis, by finding cures through investment in groundbreakingΒ discovery, and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallyingΒ communities worldwide to join the fight.Β

Make a minimum $10 donation to the American Cancer Society to receive a bunch ofΒ approximately 10 daffodils. For a $25 donation to the Gift of Hope program, you help the AmericanΒ Cancer Society anonymously deliver beautiful bouquets β€” arranged in vases β€” to area cancer patients. This
year also features Shar N. Hope, a special Boyds Bear designed exclusively for the American CancerΒ Society’s Daffodil Days Bear and a Bunch that can be ordered for a donation of $25.
