Beanies Takes Slight Lead to Win Readers' Choice Margarita
The race for the Readers' Choice of frozen beverage was a close one all week long, but Beanies came through on top in the end.

Things stayed pretty neck-and-neck for three local establishments during Patch's Readers' Choice margarita contest, but takes the win with a slim 9 percent lead on the poll and a few extra supportive comments.

"I did put out a challenge (to the other restaurants) ... I thought it would be a fun event," Marcia Endicott, owner of Beanies, said, adding that a blind-tasting event would allow the public to weigh in on the winner.

In determining the winner, Patch considered a number of items, including poll votes, business listing ratings, article comments and Facebook or Twitter comments.
Beanies and La Chimenea both garnered a similar number of comments in support of their margaritas, including reviews and 5-start ratings on their business listings.

The final poll numbers when the poll closed at 9 a.m. Friday were (note: this poll is not scientific):
- Beanies, 1347 votes — or 39 percent;
- La Chimenea, 1,041 votes — or 30 percent;Â
- Tellos, 994 votes — or 29 percent.
