Danceit! Ensemble Fundraiser is Sunday
Those involved in the annual event held at Memories Ballroom hope to raise $10,000 this year, a goal that is $2,500 higher than in 2011.
The Danceit! Performance Ensemble is putting on it's annual benefit Sunday at Memories Ballroom, with a goal of raising $10,000.
The group hopes to use the money to benefit the Ability center, "a one-of-a-kind facility designed first and foremost to meet the needs of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities — while also welcoming able-bodied participants," according to tacwi.org. Last year, the group raised $7,500 during the fundraiser and used the money to purchase three sports wheelchairs.
The group has raised more than $47,000 for local charities in the last eight years, Sherri Michalowski said.

Doors at Memories Ballroom open for the event at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, and a silent auction will kick off at that time. The show starts at 3 p.m., with dinner at 5:30. Contact the ballroom at 262-284-6850 for more information.
