Highway 33 Construction to Close Portion of Grand Avenue Through May
Traffic will be rerouted onto South Spring Street and County Highway LL during the two-month period.
Drivers beware: a portion of Grand Avenue will close on Monday to traffic as the Highway 33 construction project continues.
The section between Summit and Portview drives will be closed for the months of April and May, Port Washington City Engineer Rob Vanden Noven said. Traffic will be rerouted onto South Spring Street (also Highway 32) to County Highway LL, back to Hwy. 33 during that time.
Initially, the Department of Transportation Project Manager , but Grams said the "anticipated completion date is now sometime this fall."

The Highway 33 project calls for from South Tower Street in Port Washington to the Milwaukee River overflow bridge in Saukville. The road will be widened to four lanes with a median, and three roundabouts will be added at the intersections of Highway 33 and County LL, Highway 33 and Northwoods Road, and Highway 33 and Market Street.
