Meet and Greet: Local Pottery Maker Hosting Event at Wardrobe Safari

Artist Barb Dickmann is at Wardrobe Safari in Port this weekend showing off her latest and greatest ceramic pieces, sold through her business All Fired Up.

Artist Barb Dickmann is at in Port this weekend showing off her latest and greatest ceramic pieces, sold through her business .

Creative and energetic, Dickmann (who is also Saukville Village President) said she started making stoneware in 1996 after her daughter returned from college — where she was studying art — covered in pieces of ceramic and raving about how much fun making pottery was.

Dickmann makes her art in her own home, and also sells her art at Studio 6: Original Art and Gifts in Cedarburg, along with several other local artists.

Dickmann will be in the back room of Wardrobe Safari until 8 p.m. Friday, and back again starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Refreshments are provided.
