Port Fire, Police Departments Host Joint Open House
Sunday's event will also include the Firefighters Association's pancake breakfast.

The Port Washington Fire Department's annual open house will be held this Sunday in conjunction with the Firefighters Association's pancake breakfast, as well as a Port Police Department open house.
The breakfast runs from 9 a.m. until noon and costs $5 for anyone older than 5 years old, Port Washington Fire Chief Mark Mitchell said. Tickets for the breakfast are available at the door.

Open House events include: fire extinguisher demos, fire truck rides, automobile extrication demo, survive alive house, EMS equipment display and blood pressures can be taken, Mitchell said. Drawings for smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, and rides to school in a fire truck will take place at the end of the event, and people do not need to be present to win.

This year's open house is also a joint open house with the Port Washington Police Department. The police open house will include aΒ tour of the department, Ozaukee County Mobile Command Center and several other displays will be available for the public,Β according to an e-mail from Becky Hill of the Port Police Department; cake and refreshments will be served as well.
