Port Police Report: Port Man Bit After Attempting to Pet Dog

A roundup of recent activity from the police blotter includes other dog issues, such as nonstop barking, howling and an owner who didn't pick up some poo.

This dog was just not in the mood when a 47-year-old Port man approached the pup and its owner.

The man was only attempting to pet the dog when they crossed paths at 12:09 p.m. Aug. 19, but the dog bit the man.

The 22-year-old Port woman who owned the dog was able to show proof that the animal is up-to-date on its shots and also licensed with the city.
