Saukville Resident Also Former Teacher of Paul Ryan

When Mitt Romney announced his vice president candidate choice last weekend, the news regarding the decision to add Wisconsin Congressman Ryan Paul to the presidential race ticket spread quickly.

But when Saukville resident Chuck Baranek first heard the news, he could only be reminded of his time in the classroom — when Ryan was just a boy. Baranek was a gym teacher at St. Mary's Catholic School in Janesville, where Ryan attended, according to an Ozaukee Press article.

"I was floored. I didn’t think this would be his next step,” Baranek told the Ozaukee Press. "He’s made himself known, that’s for sure."
