Armed Robbery Reported Near UWM Campus

Milwaukee police arrested a Milwaukee man and are looking for two others in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday night near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus.

Milwaukee police arrested a 27-year-old Milwaukee man and are looking for two others in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday night near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus. 

According to Patch media partners WISN, police said three men were walking near N. Newhall St. and E. Newport Ave., just a few blocks south of Shorewood, around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when three suspects approached and demanded valuables and money.

Police told WISN one of the suspects is believed to have been armed with a handgun.

It is unclear whether the victims are students at the university.
