Christmas Tree Lot Could Come To Capitol Drive This November

SHOREWOOD, WI — A seasonal Christmas tree seller recently applied to open up shop this November in a parking lot at 2418 E. Capitol Drive in Shorewood.

The business, which has operated in Shorewood for 17 years now, would sell trees and wreaths from late November through December 23, according to documents submitted to the Village by Ideal Property Management. An office trailer and portable toilet would be set up at the property.

Holiday music would be played and string lights would be strung around the lot, the application said.

In previous years, similar tree lots have opened on Wilson Drive and near River Park, but recent construction in those areas prevents the Christmas tree lot from returning. The Capitol Drive location this tree lot is being proposed for is directly adjacent to the Sunseekers building. It is currently used for parking.
