Cops Called after Teen Breaks into Friend's House to Get Homework
No charges filed after boy breaks window and enters home of fellow student.

A basement window was broken out and residence illegally entered Wednesday by a 16-year-old Shorewood boy after he forget his homework inside of his friend’s house in the 2100 block of East Wood Place, Shorewood police say.
The boy was taken into custody after neighbors saw him break out the window in the front of the home and called police. He told police he was worried he wouldn’t be able to turn in the homework on time.
He was held at the Shorewood Police Department for some time before it could be cleared up with the property owners. Police said when the boy’s friend was contacted he asked, "Why didn’t he call me and come get the keys?”

The boy was cited for disorderly conduct, but the property owners declined to press charges.
