Crime Time: Recall Petitioner Complaint, Bike Theft

A 23-year-old Shorewood man was cited for not being not being able to take care of himself because he was intoxicated, after he was found unconscious in the hallway of an apartment building in the 3900 block of North Murray Avenue.
He refused medical treatment when police and medical personnel arrived, and was later helped to his home.

- Police conducted a welfare check on a Shorewood man after he reportedly walked into the Citgo gas station, 1602 E Capitol Dr., and tried to sell 40 to 50 candy bars. Police originally noticed the man walking in and out of traffic on East Capitol Drive.
- Police received one complaint call about a Sen. Alberta Darling recall petitioner standing outside of a Shorewood polling place during Tuesday’s election.
- A bicycle and helmet was stolen from a garage in the 4500 block of North Newhall Street. The items were valued at $105.
