Shorewood Cancels Halloween Plans

The Village Board voted 7-0 earlier this month to refrain from setting official trick-or-treat hours this year.

SHOREWOOD, WI— Shorewood joined a growing group of communities opting not to set official trick-or-treating times.

The Board cited concerns of COVID-19 when they voted at their October 5 meeting to refrain from setting official trick-or-treat hours this year.

"Community members should find alternative ways to celebrate the Halloween holiday this year. This decision was made to continue Shorewood's efforts to support the public health and safety for our community," a Facebook post read.
