Kids Find Their Inner Artist at the Library

Shorewood kids can explore their artistic side at the library Thursday afternoon.

Kids will be able to paint outdoors with guidance from Don Berg, a professional artist living in Shorewood. The Junior Plein Air event starts at 2:30 p.m. Berg will share techniques artists use when they paint outside, and then coach the kids as they create artwork of their own.

Berg is also involved in a massive Plein Air event for adults on Sept. 19-21. The event will invite 53 artists from around the Midwest to come paint their impressions of the village's urban character and natural environment. The community will be able to interact with the artists and see their artistic process at work during the event.
