Lake Bluff Entered Soft Lockdown After Nearby Police Presence
Lake Bluff Elementary School entered a brief soft lockdown Monday afternoon following reports of a break-in nearby the school.

SHOREWOOD, WI β Lake Bluff Elementary School delayed student dismissal and entered a soft lockdown Monday afternoon after the school was notified of a heavy police presence in the area surrounding the school, the Shorewood School District said in a letter sent to families Monday.
The lockdown came after 3:05 p.m. when Shorewood Police advised the soft lockdown. Classroom doors were locked beginning at 3:14 p.m. The all-clear from police came at 3:34 p.m. Monday. Students and staff were not in immediate danger during the lockdown, the district letter said.
The lockdown was prompted by an incident at a duplex near the school where a resident reported someone broke into their apartment building demanding money and jewelry while implying they had a weapon, TMJ4 News reported officials said.
