• Milwaukee County awarded nearly $25 million in federal funding for street safety projects (wpr.org) — Shorewood streets are slated for part of nearly $25 million in new federal funding aimed at curbing reckless driving across Milwaukee County. Over 60 projects will add safer crosswalks, curb bump-outs, and other traffic-calming features in Shorewood and nearby communities, with work expected to continue through 2031 to cut serious crashes significantly.
