• Milwaukee County awarded $25M for road safety projects (finance-commerce.com) — Shorewood will share in nearly $25 million Milwaukee County just won to improve dangerous roads, with local projects funded through the county’s Safe Streets and Roads for All grant. The money will support pedestrian upgrades, safer intersections, and traffic calming on high‑risk corridors in Shorewood and neighboring communities, with design work starting in 2027 and construction expected to wrap up by 2031.
