Police Report: Local Authorities Make Drunken Driving and Pot Possession Arrests
A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

Police arrested a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman March 7 after they say she was driving drunk and found in possession of marijuana.
She was stopped in the 1500 block of East Capitol Drive at about 2 a.m. after police discovered her registration was suspended.
During the traffic stop, police say the woman slurred her speech, smelled like intoxicants and had glassy, bloodshot eyes.

She failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. Police later found .7 grams of pot in the woman’s possession.
It’s the woman’s first drunken driving offense.

In other police news:
- After arriving at a building in the 4200 block of North Wilson Drive to investigate a report of a marijuana smell coming from one apartment on Friday, police would arrest a 30-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, both from Shorewood, for possession of pot and drug paraphernalia. Police say they found marijuana and two glass pipes in plain view. The two suspects were cited for possession and later released.
- A Shorewood woman called police March 7 to reported the theft of several items including a $200 Blackberry Tablet, credit card and $150 video camera. She told police the credit card was later used to purchase $22 worth of products at Shorewood’s Citgo gas station, 1602 E. Capitol Dr.
- A manager at , 4027 N. Oakland Ave., phoned police Friday to report the theft of $30 worth of food, including spaghetti, cream cheese and other products. With a description of the suspect, police were able to track down the suspect, a 57-year-old Shorewood woman, and arrest and cite her for retail theft.
- A 52-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody Saturday after police say she left , 4145 N. Oakland Ave., with six bottles of wine and a bag of cat food without paying. Police tracked the man down after receiving the theft report from the grocery store’s security. A 49-year-old Milwaukee man, who drove the car the woman jumped into after allegedly committing the retail theft, was cited for operating a car with a suspended license, no insurance, suspended registration and not wearing a seatbelt.
- A batting cage was reported stolen from a closet in ’s physical education building, 1701 E. Capitol Dr. The theft happened sometime between July and January and the cage is valued at $2,835.
- A resident in the 3500 block of North Hackett Avenue reported a broken window pane after two eggs were thrown at the home. The damage totaled $200.
