Police Report: Woman Stocks Up Cart with $103 in Items, Fools Cashier with Old Receipt On Way Out

Police say an unknown woman loaded up a shopping cart with $103 worth of merchandise and showed the cashier an old receipt on her way out of , 4081 N. Oakland Ave., on Monday. The stolen items included body wash, toilet paper and laundry detergent. No arrests have been made.

Also in the report, a contractor working in Shorewood on Tuesday said two sawzalls, a drill and several drill bits were taken from his truck sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 3:27 p.m. The items are worth $570 and the victim told police he’s unsure where the theft occurred, because he worked at several different locations during the day.
