Police Talk Man Down after Climbing TV Tower

Shorewood police were able to talk a man down Tuesday morning, after he had climbed about a third of the way up the WITI-TV FOX6 tower, off the Estabrook Parkway.

The parkway was closed around 9 a.m. for safety and re-opened about an hour later, police say.

The man was later transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police aren’t releasing any further information on the man or his motive behind climbing the tower.
