Police to Hold Annual Bike Sale

Grab a cheap bike for the summer.

If you’re looking for a new bike just in time for the summer, you may find what you’re looking for at the Shorewood Police Department’s annual bike sale Saturday.

Police Sergeant Charles Vanderschaaf said he will put around 38 bikes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the back of the police station, 3936 N. Murray Ave., that police have either found or have been confiscated.

Bicycle prices will run from $5 to $50.

Vanderschaaf admits some of the bikes need some work, but most of it’s minor.

He said bikes usually go pretty fast as it's first come first serve so if you want to grab a good bike, you better get there early.
