The September 15 board meeting video is now online. At 1:21:00, Trustee McGovern comments on the sale of the 4450 Oakland parking lot, calling it “probably the best thing the prior board did.”

He goes on to share his priorities:

“Sometimes we are called upon to make land use decisions as a village board. And sometimes it’s something that will help landlords. Sometimes it will help tenants. I’m always going to come down on the side of helping tenants and helping Shorewood grow. I’m going to be voting enthusiastically yes for this project.”
