Seniors at Harwood Place Release Mother’s Day Recipe Book

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (May 6, 2025) – To honor Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, residents and staff from Harwood Place Senior Living Community in Wauwatosa have released a new cookbook as a tribute to their mothers and the recipes that they love.

In the cookbook, Recipes That Stir the Heart, seniors and employees share their favorite recipes and the stories that go with them.

Highlights of the book include:

· Ruth’s carrot cake recipe (Jackie Kennedy’s favorite!) which she lovingly made for her own family.

· Nancy’s datenut bread, the only recipe that she has from her father’s mother who emigrated from Germany as a child.

· Carol’s French potato salad, a recipe that reminds her of her mom and one that’s she’s made for holidays over the past 30 years.
