Shooting In Shorewood Leaves 1 Woman Dead, Another Injured: Police
A woman was found dead in Shorewood and another was found injured after a shots fired call came in, police said Thursday morning.

SHOREWOOD, WI — A woman was found dead in Shorewood near Murray Avenue and Lake Bluff Boulevard after a report of a possible shooting, police said Thursday morning.
Police said they also found a second woman who was injured but she is expected to survive. Police told CBS58 the shooting call came in around 4:30 a.m.
By 5 a.m., the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office found a man who was believed to be the suspect in the earlier shooting in a car at Lincoln Park with a fatal gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted, police said.

"The Shorewood Police Department expresses its sympathy to the family and all those affected by this tragic event," the department wrote in a news release. "If you or someone you know is experiencing family or intimate partner violence, resources are available by calling 211 or Sojourner Family Peace Center at 414-933-2722."
