Deadline is Wednesday for Pesticide Application Alert Registry

Signing up gives residents a 12-hour notice before pesticides are to be applied in their neighborhood.

The deadline is Wednesday to sign up for the state pesticide notification registry to be alerted when pesticides will be used in your neighborhood.

The state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection offers an advance notice registry, which will give residents 12-hours notice by telephone or mail before pesticides are applied to lawns, trees and shrubs, at addresses you identify.

The registry doesn’t allow residents to protest the pesticide application.
