St. Robert School Celebrates 95 Years with Student-Produced Mural
St. Robert students will spend a week creating a 4x8 mural to be blessed and place in the school Friday.
St. Robert School is celebrating 95 years in Shorewood with a mural made completely of student art.
Around 100 students filled the St. Robert gym Monday armed with clay and a toothpick — each molding and carving their piece of the 4x8 mural.Â
"We are going to fill the space with individual images that represent the history and the individuals in the community that have built this," Principal Lauren Beckmann.

Local artist Connie Greany is serving as the artist-in-residence and leading the creation of the artwork. Later this week, Greany will work with students to color-glaze and tie together the hundreds of individual pieces assemble and grout the pieces into their final layout.
The completed mural will be blessed on Friday and installed in the southeast stairwell of the school.
