A 45-year-old Shorewood woman was going for the green last week when police say she tried to steal two packages of spinach from

The woman was arrested Tuesday for retail theft after police say she concealed the spinach in a red Sendik’s bag and attempted to leave the store at 4027 N. Oakland Ave. without paying.

An alert employee saw the woman in action and Sendik’s employees later called police.
