Three Burglaries Reported Over the Weekend

Three burglaries were reported in Shorewood over the weekend:

• A pistol, prescription drugs and a laptop were stolen from a lower level duplex in the 4400 block of Sheffield Avenue sometime between 9:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Saturday. The burglar forced open a kitchen door from a common hallway. The incident remains under investigation.

• An iPad and ThinkPad laptop were reported stolen from a home in the 2700 block of Shorewood Boulevard at 11:16 a.m. Saturday. The back door was left unlocked.

• Someone entered an unlocked home in the 3800 block of Prospect Avenue between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. The burglar took $10 out of a purse and left the purse in the back yard.
