Village Board to Discuss Demolition of Old Riverbrook Restaurant Property
Pending an agreement with the property owners, razing plans will move forward.

The Village Board is expected to discuss an agreement it has come to with Sunrise of Shorewood WI Senior Living LLC., the owners of at, 1111 E. Capitol Dr., which used to house Riverbrook Restaurant at its next meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall.
According to the Village Board agenda packet, the agreement is the village will raze the building at its expense, using Tax Increment District No. 3 funds, and Sunrise will be levied a special assessment for the demolition amount, not to exceed $60,000.
As part of the project, the pavement will be removed and the site will be seeded the packet says.

Pending approval of the agreement with Sunrise, the work of developing a bid for the razing, including asbestos and hazardous material review, will be completed Sigma Engineering. The company’s contract with the village has already been approved by the Community Development Authority.
