Budget and employee handbook talks continue

Village officials continue work on crafting next year’s budget with workshops both Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 6 p.m. at Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Ave. Officials will examine the , finance and planning and zoning budgets.

An update on the , consideration of educational stipends and the results of a student enrollment count are on the agenda for Tuesday night’s School Board agenda. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the , 1701 E. Capitol Dr.

Packers legend in the North Shore

Packers legend , 5770 N. Bayshore Dr. Persons interested in meeting Leroy Butler and obtaining an autograph must first purchase a 2012 Wisconsin Calendar at the event. Calendars will be on sale for $15 of which $9 will benefit the Leroy Butler Foundation. The first 50 customers to purchase the calendar at the event will also receive a panoramic Madison poster, a $25 value.

The 3-4 (3-2) Shorewood/Messmer football team will host the 2-5 (2-3) Wayland Academy Big Red Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Messwood hopes to bounce back after dropping their last two Midwest Classic Conference matches.
