When Will the New Walgreens Open?
Walgreens will move to the other side of Kenmore Place on Sept. 20.
Walgreen's started to move into its new space on the first floor of the LightHorse 4041 building this week.
The new store is on track to open on Sept. 20, according to a company spokesman. The current Walgreens at 4081 N. Oakland Ave. will close the day before the new store opens. The new store will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to midnight.
The overall LightHorse development is also taking shape and on track to be completed by November. Mandel Group officials say they are completing the floors from the top of the building first, and residents on the sixth floor will start to move in in the next few weeks.

So far, The Mandel Group has filled 43 of the 84 units, and expects to break 50 units by the end of this week.
