• Driver seriously injured after SUV rear ends propane truck, starts on fire in Tomah (wizmnews.com) — An SUV driver was seriously injured Monday morning when their vehicle rear-ended a propane truck and caught fire at a railroad crossing in Tomah, briefly closing N. Superior Avenue. Tomah police and firefighters quickly knocked down the flames, preventing the fire from spreading. The driver was taken to Emplify Health in La Crosse, and no other injuries were reported.
   

• Second person charged in connection to drug overdose death in Tomah (weau.com) — A Tomah resident has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide after investigators linked him to drugs involved in an August overdose death at a Tomah home. Court records say he allegedly bought fentanyl from another Tomah man and then sold it to the victim, who died from a mixed fentanyl and morphine overdose. The case is moving forward in Monroe County court.
