18-year-old Accidently Shoots Himself In Leg, Waukesha Police Say
The man was brought to Waukesha Memorial Hospital by his 21-year-old brother on Wednesday.
WAUKESHA,WI—Waukesha Police responded to a 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg on Wednesday night, according to a news release. The man was brought to Waukesha Memorial Hospital by his 21-year-old brother who stayed at the hospital.
The initial report was the man was shot on the sidewalk in the area of Scott Street and Newhall Avenue. After hours of searching police came up with no evidence to support this version of events, the release said.
During this investigation, it was discovered that the 18-year-old shot himself while in the back seat of a moving car. He is stable and is receiving medical care for his injury. His 21-year-old brother was arrested for obstructing the investigation and possession of narcotics, the release said.
