• Making learning more accessible: Waukesha South High engineering students create adapted toys for young learners (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha South High School engineering students are redesigning toys so young children with special needs in the Waukesha district can play more easily in early childhood classrooms. By 3D-printing low-cost switches and modifying off-the-shelf toys, they’re saving the district significant money while gaining real-world engineering experience. Staff hope to make this collaboration a yearly project.

• Offer to purchase UWM at Waukesha campus in final negotiations (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha County officials are finalizing a purchase offer and redevelopment plan for the former UWM at Waukesha campus, with a $150 million mixed-residential project poised to return the site to the tax rolls. The chosen proposal is expected to bring over $1.4 million in annual city and county tax revenue, address higher-income housing needs, and begin demolition as early as fall 2026.

• Wisconsin average regular unleaded gas price sits at $2.45 before Christmas (wjfw.com) — Wisconsin drivers are seeing average regular gas around $2.45 per gallon, but Waukesha motorists can find one of the state’s lowest prices at $2.10 at the Hometown Citgo.
