2 Injured In Crash Into Median In Waukesha County

The car's passenger was ejected because the car split into two when it crashed into the media, officials said.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI— Two people were injured in a crash when a speeding car crashed into the median wall and freeway sign along I-94 eastbound Friday morning, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The car split into two, ejecting the passenger. Both the driver and the passenger, who authorities said was a juvenile, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened near Elm Grove Road.

The left and center lanes of I-94 were closed in both directions for over two hours while crews attended to the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
