2020 Retzer Nature Center Wild Winter Night: Your Guide

New this year, visitors are welcome to try hot cocoa ice cream floats and make s'mores while they sit by the campfire.

WAUKESHA, WI – The Friends of Retzer Nature Center will be hosting the Wild Winter Night at Retzer Nature Center on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Retzer Nature Center is located at S14W28167 Madison Street in Waukesha. Admission is $4 per person or $15 per family and includes one planetarium show. Friends of Retzer Nature Center members receive free admission.

Organizers say this year's attendees will discover more about birds and the wintertime world with guided owl prowl hikes led by Benjamin Goss Bird Club experts, interactive exhibits and nature-themed activities, up-close animal encounters, and sky exploration with telescopes (weather permitting).

The Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium will offer a special showing of Europe to the Stars every 45 minutes. Visitors are welcome to try hot cocoa ice cream floats and make s’mores while they sit by the campfire. Guests that ‘go green’ by bringing their own travel mugs will be entered to win prizes.
