2020 Waukesha Memorial Day Events Canceled

WAUKESHA, WI — Citing the need to protect the public amid the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers with the Waukesha Allied Veterans Council announced they will not be holding their annual Memorial Day events and parade in 2020.
In addition, "The Moving Wall" has been rescheduled and will be presented during the 2021 Memorial Day weekend. "The Moving Wall" is a half-sized replica of the Vietnam War Memorial.
City officials still want to observe the importance of Memorial Day, and are welcoming online guests to join in honoring those we have lost each Monday leading up to Memorial Day on the City's Facebook page for virtual remembrance activities.
