2020 Waukesha Pop Up Beer Gardens To Begin, Will Look Different

Social distancing rules will apply, but if parks get too busy, organizers say staff are allowed to turn away guests at least temporarily.

WAUKESHA, WI — The 2020 Waukesha County Pop Up Beer Garden schedule is set to begin, though things will look a little different this year amid the coronavirus pandemic in Wisconsin.

The beer garden series, run in partnership with the Raised Grain Brewing Company, will have dates through September in 2020 with several safety precautions in place.

Park entrance fees apply – cash and credit cards accepted. During the event, attendees can pay the daily entrance fee of $5 per vehicle or guests may pay $6 per vehicle and receive one beer token.

Safety Precautions New This Year

  • Park users should practice social distancing by staying 6 feet from other guests not residing in the same living unit or household. This includes in the park, on the beach, in the water and in the parking lot.
  • In order to maintain safety, staff members have the ability to temporarily restrict access to the park or specific areas and ask visitors to come back another time.
  • If the beer garden is too crowded to keep a safe distance, visitors will be directed to come back at a less busy time, or consider visiting another time.
  • There will be no reuse of cups and no refillable steins will be allowed.
  • Playgrounds and picnic tables are not sanitized and should be used at your own risk. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own table coverings, lawn chairs and blankets.
  • Credit cards are preferred for payments to limit cash exchanges.
  • There will be no communal yard games, though guests are encouraged to bring their own.
